Hello all! It's been forever since I last blogged! Blame it on the slow ass computer that keeps popping up new viruses. Hopefully, I will purchase a new computer soon and be able to blog as much as possible. For now, I must resort to using my sister's laptop for my main source of internet.
Pretty much nothing has changed in the world of fitness for me. It seems that everytime I have a great week of dieting, my weekend ruins the hard work. I've been up and down the past two weeks with weight. But I now re-organized myself and will be determined to hit my new goal. It all started last Sunday. I decided to purchase a notebook and chart my progress. Over the past few weeks, I have noticed some change. My muscles are more defined and harder. They protrude through my clothing more than ever. Yet, I still have the same belly due to my binge weekend eating. So from now on, I will record every workout in my log. Each week, I will change the workouts, but the consistency will be the same. The goal is to hit the gym for weight training on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. This allows my body the well needed rest. I will hit cardio on Friday and Saturday mornings with interval training. I'll do 10 minutes each on treadmill, elliptical(ugh), and recumbent bike. As for Mondays and Wednesdays, they will be option days. If I have the energy and time, I will use it for cardio. If not, it can be used as a well needed break. As far as diet is concerned, my work week will not change. The thing that will change is my dinner. I will cook 3 nights a week and prepare meals in containers. I need to get at least 6-7 small meals a day in order to keep my body from being in starvation mode. I picked up some great pre-packaged chicken cutlets at BJ's. It's 10 bucks for 8 cutlets, but they're proportionate and tells you the calories and protein. Included in this diet, I will give myself two cheat meals a week. Why two? Because sometimes, one just isn't enough. The catch to this is that it must be somewhat proportionate(one slice of pizza, not a whole pie) and it cannot be on consecutive days or the same day. Also, it would be preferred after a lifting period or a cardio session. The meal must also be before 5 pm, so it can be properly digested and burned off before sleep. To add to this diet, I will include my soon-to-be new purchase of Glutamine to my protein shakes, one gallon of water minimally a day, and 3 protein shakes minimally a day. My goal is very simple. No one month or six months goals. A simple 12 week goal of 36lbs lost minimally. The goal date is set for July 27th. At this date, I should be in the best shape of my adult life and I'd like to enjoy the rest of the summer with my new body.
Anyways, I'll be blogging Monday night with my weight results after week 1 of the new Transformation Plan. In case you're wondering, I started this plan at 269lbs.

Finally!!! In the 260's!!
The title says it all: I've been in the 270's for like the past 3 weeks. I woke up this morning and ate some breakfast. I dropped my nieces off for school and decided to just take a look at the scale. It's been 5 days since I last peeked. What do I see? 269! I was probably 268 when I first woke up. I'm totally happy to see that "6" again! I'm just hoping to see 266 by next Friday. I hit up the gym at like 1130. I did some light cardio and blasted my arms into oblivion. I ended up skipping my leg workout this week. They felt pretty weak and didn't want to be paralyzed this weekend for cardio. I ended up eating fast food today (way to put that weight back on lol), but I was healthy: plain grilled chicken sandwich, then left a small chili for later. I'll hit the night up with a protein shake and water. I'm about to go food shopping now and hit up BJ's for those 5 dozen eggs son! I have a 60 day trial card and I intend to fully use it. Tomorrow is cardio in the a.m. and the p.m. Sunday is back to chest/shoulders. That's enough for now, I'm out!

One day till the Weekend
Ok, I know I haven't been on here for awhile, so let's keep with the updates:
Monday- I worked out my chest/shoulders this day due to the fact that my car was in the dealership Sunday. It was crowded as usual, so I did my chest a little bit different. I did incline dumbbell presses and flyes, since the Smith machine was unaccessible. I also hit the chest circuit machine, which actually gives you a pretty good pump. I finished off chest with some low and high cable flyes. For shoulders, I did my usual workout. I only did 10 mins of warm up cardio, considering I went to the gym very late and was a little bit tired.
Tuesday- I didn't get a chance to hit the gym. As soon as I got home from work, I changed and layed back in bed, reading a book. Next thing you know, I wake up in the morning. I think I slept a good 11 hours, so can't complain much.
Wednesday- Today wasn't a bad day at all. I didn't have to carry the bariatric stretcher in my ambulance. It's a stretcher made for morbidly obese people and it weighs 2x that of a regular stretcher. I'm going to hit back tonight and emphasize what I watched on youtube from Vic at vicsnatural.com..I seen how he works out and it definitely will improve my gains. Much respect to J for showing me this guy's site. Very knowledgeable on working out and diet. My ipod is officially resting in peace. This piece of shit finally shut off on me for the last time. I had it for almost 3 1/2 years and only started using it fully the past year. I added damn near 4,000 songs and now it decides to fuck up on me! I'm definitely in need of an ipod and will decide which to get..I'm still considering just getting an MP3 player, but we will see...I can't wait for Friday!! I'm also looking forward to Sunday night, cause I'd love to see that scale dip below 270...I've been in the 70's for like 3 weeks now, up and down with weight due to over-indulging for one friggin' day...it's madness!!
Anyways, Thursday is going to be my temporary legs day this week with Friday morning my arms day. I don't know about you, but arms day is the best workout day of the week. Every guy loves to work out their arms..I see the same guys in the gym everyday working out their arms...they have huge guns and a skinny back with string bean legs...it looks RIDICULOUS!! I'm also looking into joining Aspen fitness..it's a gym also nearby that has no contract and you pay as you go...only 10/month! They supposedly have more weights and are less crowded, which are both pluses..we'll see..

quick Saturday update
Just giving a quick update: I ended up going for a 2 mile walk with my friend Steve. We pretty much vented out about the job and how we hate it to death. It's 10:40 and yet, I still don't want to go out. Man, I'm getting old lol.
The plan tomorrow hopefully follows as such:
Wake up early enough to hit the gym for the workout. I definitely need to eat, since I'll be in the gym for awhile. My advice: Always go to the gym on Sundays. Everyone takes it as a rest day and it's the best day to go. There is no crowd and you can get on any machine you want. Afterwards, it's off to Hyundai to pick up my car. Hopefully, everything is ok and all I need to do for the next 2-3 months is gas and oil changes. I'm aiming for mid July to purchase a car. Anyways, pretty much after that, it's all about the rest and preparing for the week ahead. I did cheat tonight, eating two slices of pizza (I'm sorry), but I ate them early and burned some off with my 40 minute walk. It's ok to indulge, as long as it's not too late and too much. Hopefully, I didn't tip the scales too much. Monday morning is progress day. The day after Easter, I went back up to 275 after eating all that food. Hopefully, I can hit the minimum 3lb mark that I set aside for myself.

Bad Fridays bring Good Saturdays
Friday afternoon was a pretty bad one. I found out that my car needed a part and I have to pay another $275. In case you didn't know, I already shelled out 3k on fixing this car and I refuse to pay any more. I was promised from my father that he would help me purchase a new car, but as per my sister, that's not happening. That's the story of my life. My father has been doing things like that since I was a kid: promise you something, wait until you get excited, then take it away. It's like putting a steak in front of a hungry dog, then throwing out the steak. So now do I not only have to pay my dad back on a small loan, but I need to pay my C/C off AND save up for a down payment for a car. I'm against leasing, due to the mileage overage charges, but it may be the cheapest alternative for now.
As far as my workout, I did some light cardio and arms. I hit them up pretty good with 10 sets for each. I was going to do cardio last night, but it was pretty cold out and the gym was closed early. I did wake up early today and did a little 20 minute walk. It would have been longer, but my older niece was going out and I had no babysitting..truly sucks.
Today, I'm just finishing up my usual chores of cleaning and laundry. Picking up the shit box at 4pm and hitting the gym at 6pm for a good 45 min cardio session. Tomorrow is Chest/Shoulders in the morning, with cardio at night...the 2-a-days will be in full effect for every fri/sat/sun, unless I have overtime work.
I'll be blogging tomorrow night, so God is great and keep fighting the good fight!

Week update
Wow..it's been 4 days since I last blogged...so to quickly update:
I worked like a madman this week. I didn't get a chance to hit the gym Monday or Tuesday. I was completely exhausted. I stuck to my diet though. Wednesday I hit up some quick cardio and blew my back hard with a good workout. I didn't go to the gym Thursday because I needed that extra sleep.
Today I'm going to hit some cardio with arms around 1pm. I already did my taxes and can't wait for that return to come in. I did my food shopping and going to hit BJ's for water, Splenda, and eggs. I'm going to try to curb certain things in my diet. For example, I always put sugar in my coffee in the morning. Usually, if you take it when you first wake up, it's not so bad, considering your body's glycogen levels are low. But I don't want to sacrifice added calories. I'm going to watch what I eat also late at night. Protein shakes only. I'm back down to my original weight before Easter, so I'm happy. I'll either hit the gym tonight for late night cardio or go for a walk in the neighborhood with my Ipod.
Tomorrow is strictly cardio. Since my car is getting a part replaced at the dealership, I don't know when I'm getting it back. So I'm going to do cardio in the neighborhood in the morning. I'm trying to implement more protein and less carbs on the weekend, since I eat a lot of W/W bread during work weeks. My goals are simple: lose 25 lbs by my birthday, which is 2 months away. Then set a new goal of 25 lbs for my friend's wedding. If I come close to it, I won't be disappointed. Rome wasn't built in a day and a great body takes time. I may not see the results I want quickly, but I'm sure they will show by summer's end.
These next few months will be stressful. Trying to get into Nursing school, paying off my two credit cards, buying a new car, staying in shape, helping the family, and actually TRYING to enjoy one summer for myself. Once September comes, it will all be different. I'll need to concentrate on school and work. Life is supposed to be hard. There is no easy way out, even though we all wish for it. You can only make your life better by investing in it. Anyways, time to hit up that gym and take care of business. I'll see you guys tomorrow!

What a weekend
It was a little bit of a depressing weekend. I hit up a good cardio session on Saturday morning. I pretty much lounged throughout the day. The weekend is my time to take a couple of short naps and catch up on some good rest. I was glad that I didn't cheat, considering that I was going to eat like a maniac for Easter. I went to sleep at a good time, since the gym would be only open until 1pm on Easter. I wanted to get there and get my workout in.
I went to the gym Easter Sunday around 10am. The gym was very packed! I couldn't believe it. I was still able to get some cardio in and hit up my chest/shoulders. Since it was packed, I was in there for like 90 minutes, which is not a typical work out for me. I couldn't do certain machines that I'm used to because these SOB's were hanging out there for like 45 minutes. INCONSIDERATE BASTARDS!!! Anyways, I ate pretty well until dinner time. I pigged out and now I feel awful. I had some baked ziti, sausage, chicken parm, and some garlic bread. I ended up sleeping for an hour after that meal, which isn't good. I should've walked it off. Then I ended up having ice cream and some cake after. I felt like a slob. The Yankee game was on, so I obviously stayed up to watch it. Not a wise decision. I didn't get a good night's sleep.
I woke up this morning and checked the scale outta curiousity. I ended up gaining one pound since last Monday's results, all because of last night. I'm not going to lie. I felt disgusted. My back was a little sore because I slept bad and all of that hard work was wasted. I'm so glad that there are no major eating holidays until Thanksgiving. I will NEVER eat like that again. So, it's time once again to refocus and burn this weight off.
My short term goal is simple: check my weight on April 8th. I want to lose 20 lbs less than that weight for my bday. Simple. Always make short term goals first. Long term goals can discourage you. When my bday arrives, I'll check the weight again. From that date, I want to lose another 20lbs for August 7, which is my friend Manny's wedding. As far as I know, I don't remember my weight when I was younger. The lowest weight I remember being was 260, and that was in 2005. I'll easily break that for my birthday. I'm not looking at this as a temporary solution. Only as the beginning of a new "me". I'm not going to be that lazy fat guy sitting on the couch, stuffing my face with Oreo's. I've only been lifting consistently for over a month and I seen a difference. Imagine what 4 months of hard work can bring. Possibilities are endless.
Anyways, today is back day. I'll be taking an off day Tuesday to recharge my batteries. I'm off to work to bust my ass.
God is great and keep fighting the good fight!
