Weak in the gym

So today I'm starting a new split workout..Because I did my back on Saturday, I'm skipping it for this week only. The split should be as follows:

Sunday: Chest/Shoulders
Monday: Back/Traps
Tuesday: Cardio
Wednesday: Legs/Abs
Thursday: Biceps/Triceps
Friday: Cardio
Saturday: Cardio (optional)

I got to the gym about 45 minutes before closing, so I only got my 15 minutes of warm up cardio and my chest workout. My shoulders were a little sore, but I'm going to hit them tomorrow in place of my back exercise. I work out at Planet Fitness, which kind of sucks. The dumbells (meaning weights, not staff lol) only go up to 60 lbs each, so you are limited. I'll probably convert to a new gym by September. For now, it's good enough, close to home, and cheap.

My daily eating should consist of mainly 5-7 meals, consisting of protein/carbs/fat. I'll list what I eat on a daily basis at the end of each day, just to give you an idea. I'm a big fan of Whey protein and supplements. I'm way too scared to try steroids, but I take my MVI (multi-vitamin for you non health professionals) and a Nitric Oxide supplement before I work out. It's definitely important that you eat small, drink plenty of water, and limit your carbs in the evening. I usually pack a cooler with me for when I work, consisting of 2 healthy sandwiches, 2 protein shakes, 2 pieces of fruit, and 4-5 bottles of water. I eat breakfast at home and end each night with another protein shake.

I checked my weight tonight, but I'll mention it tomorrow. I ate pretty heavy today (lots of protein shakes, steak, sweet potatoes), so my numbers are probably off.

Also, it's very important to get plenty of sleep. It's tough when you're working long hours and you have a lot of responsibility at home. But getting those 7-9 hours a day of sleep is important. If possible, try to take 20 minute naps whenever you get a chance.

Anyways, that's all I have to write for tonight. I'm a talkative blogger, so pretty much each blog feels like a novel, so just bare with it lol. I'm going to take a little quote from the Rev. Run from Run DMC. Every night, in his journal, he says "God is good". I'm going to stick with that flow in ending tonight saying:

GOD IS GREAT AND KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT!

Later
